Welded pipes

Welded tubes

The method of tube production determines the basic division into: seamless tubes and welded tubes. In addition, we can also divide each group into products that are produced cold or produced hot. The wide use of welded stainless steel is due to the fact that it is possible to obtain large diameters that are needed in many industrial installations.

Stainless steel welded tubes have a transversal cross-section and are of considerable length. Their surface can be, among others insulated, plated or galvanized.  Taking into account the shape of the cross-section, we can distinguish, for example: round, elliptical, square and rectangular tubes.

Welded tubes are made of steel strips or sheets of metal, which are then molded to give the right shape to the tube. The next action is to connect the edges of the tube by welding at the contact using high temperature. In addition, metallurgists manufacture the product by means of electric welding.

Stainless steel welded tubes application:

A metallurgical product which is widely used in many industries, as well as in installations transmitting various media.

Welded tubes are used in the creation of steel structures. Where there is room temperature, conduit tubes are installed, while in an elevated temperature environment, when assembling pressure equipment, electrically welded pipes made of non-alloy and alloy steel are ideal.

Steel tubes with galvanized seams are used in pipelines that come into contact with hot and cold water. In addition, they should be galvanized, which gives it anti-corrosive properties.

Welded tubes / Tubes with seams - our catalog:

Among the products offered by the Stainless Europe online store we recommend the following types of welded tubes:

- stainless steel and acid-proof welded tubes:

Stainless and acid-resistant tubes are characterized by high strength and anti-corrosion properties. As a result, they are readily chosen by specialists working in the industry.

The PN-EN 10088 standard defines corrosion resistant steels as well as flat and long products made of these materials. This group includes heat-resistant stainless steel and creep resistant steels.

- Heat-resistant welded tubes:

Heat-resistant steel products are characterized by high resistance to gases at high temperature, which protects against damage to the tube surface. As a result, tubes with heat-resistant seams are used in many projects, eg in metallurgy, mechanics, in the production of chimney liners, boilers or devices used to measure temperature.

- duplex and super duplex welded tubes

Duplex steel has many advantages that make products made of it more durable than single-phase austenitic and ferritic steels. In addition, duplex steel has a high corrosion resistance: general, intergranular, stress and pitting, and high tensile strength and ductility.

- welded carbon steel tubes

Carbon and low-alloy steel tubes are resistant to high pressure and temperature.
